We are hiring for the third shift, which runs from 10 PM to 6:30 AM, Monday through Saturday. We have multiple opportunities for Production Associates, so feel free to share this information with your qualified peers. Everyone is required to train on first shift.

To be a good fit for the Production Associate opportunity, you will have:
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a production environment.
  • Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical equations, understand, and follow instructions detailed on work orders (aka Batch Tickets).
  • Ability to lift and carry containers weighing up to 80 lbs. in continuous repetition throughout an 8-12 hour shift.
  • Ability to wear a respirator.
  • Open availability / flexibility to work overtime as needed, including extended shifts and/or weekends (primarily seasonal).
  • Reliable transportation.
Just as important will be the following competencies and characteristics:
  • Reliability, a strong work ethic and a results orientation; dependability and solid attendance record are a must.
  • Technical aptitude.
  • A self-starter.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to work independently and also contribute as a team player.
  • A positive attitude, even in stressful situations.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail.
Preferred but not required:
  • Previous experience with DSI/Scanning devices/programs.
  • Previous experience on safely operating a forklift.
  • Experience troubleshooting equipment.
  • Understanding of OSHA requirements.

You'll join a team of Production Associates and assist with the manufacturing of quality building products (primarily rolled roofing materials) at a busy facility. You will have a strong commitment to safety, always following safety policies and procedures as you operate mechanical equipment and complete required tasks, including manufacturing quality control testing, documentation, and labeling / packaging.

Depending on our needs and your aptitude, you may come on as a Coating Box Operator, Winder Operator, Compounder or Mixer. You also may be cross-trained in more than one area.

Specifically, you will:
  • Operate equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line.
  • Ensure safe use of operating equipment per training and safety policy.
  • Record all required data on batch tickets, complete daily, weekly, monthly checklist(s) and equipment logs as required.
  • Prepare and stage required materials in a prompt manner.
  • Understand and meet production targets given per task.
  • Complete quality testing and records testing data as required.
  • Disassemble, clean and reassemble equipment as needed and trained to do so.
  • Attend all training programs as required and sponsored by the company.
  • Perform required tasks according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Promptly report all accidents, near misses, and property damage incidents.
  • Apply and follow all OSHA and Henry safety standards, policies and procedures that pertain to tasks performed.
  • Maintain clean and organized workspace including housekeeping in designated areas as well as worksite level.
  • Clearly communicate needs, report equipment abnormalities, and general issues to plant leadership.
  • Perform all other assigned duties.

Our environment is not climate controlled and can be hot or cold depending on the time of year. We have water and electrolyte stations for you to stay hydrated. You could mix asphalt at elevated temperatures and with sand. Our expectation is 100% compliance with all Safety protocols/training and the plant has an excellent Safety performance record.
