To be a good fit for the Sales Coordinator opportunity, you will have:
  • 2+ years of sales development or inside sales experience and demonstrated skills in prospecting. Quick question for you - click here
  • The ability to understand the construction building materials sales cycle (planning, design, bid, award) and to review and understand project specifications and architectural drawings.
  • Experience with one or more leading CRM tools (Salesforce.com preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel, Outlook, and other Office applications.
  • Good administrative and organizational skills.
  • Strong business acumen, with a good understanding of the key financial drivers and dynamics related to growth and revenue goals of an organization.
Just as important will be the following competencies and characteristics:
  • Superior verbal communication skills, including confidence in telephone conversations.
  • The ability to build "trusted advisor" relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, comfort with quantitative information and the ability to work with large datasets.
  • Leadership potential; experience in lead roles is a plus.
  • Openness to change, and the ability to work with new teams and evolving processes, policies, and tools.
  • A strong work ethic and a passionate approach to sales activities.
Preferred but not required:
  • A bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, business administration or a related field.
  • Experience with business-to-business sales.
  • Experience with construction industry tools such as Dodge or ConstructConnect.
  • Familiarity with commercial construction and architectural design specifications.
This role is based out of our Kimberton, PA office and you'll work from 9am to 6pm EST to best support the West region sales team. You also will need to able to travel, on occasion (and once it is safe) for training and sales meetings.

Following the Henry Specified Selling methodology, our Building Envelope Systems (BES) regional field sales representatives strive to position Henry Company as the supplier of choice for architects, building engineers, specifiers, contractors, distributors and other high-level contacts.

Reporting directly to the VP, Regional Sales, your key objective will be to contribute to sales growth by generating sales demand and pipeline revenue through lead development. You'll partner with our BES regional field sales representatives to discover new sales opportunities and qualify leads. More specifically, you will:
  • Work closely with the BES West Region Sales Team, which includes approximately 6-7 Architectural and Technical Field Sales Representatives. You’ll spend 85%-90% on inside sales activities (phone calls, pre-qualifying leads, CRM analysis, etc.).
  • Actively seek out and source high-quality leads by mining lead databases to identify, research, qualify, and nurture leads for the field sales representatives.
  • Make outbound calls to existing and new contacts to pre-qualify leads and set up meetings with the sales team.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly sales team meetings to review pipeline health and ensure opportunities are advancing through stages.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with the field sales representatives and sales leaders to become a valued member of the team and the go to person for new leads.
  • Assist the sales team in managing and tracking activities and opportunities in our CRM and as needed provide updates to leads, accounts, and opportunities as they progress through the sales stages.
  • With direction from field sales reps, prepare bid submittal packages and sales support materials for prospective customers.
  • Work closely with field sales representatives to develop territory plans by identifying territory goals and tracking progress.
  • Leverage your strong communication skills and networking abilities to build trust-based relationships with the sales team and our customers.
  • Support regional sales managers with weekly pipelines dashboards and reports, in addition to ad hoc CRM queries, projects, and initiatives.
  • Support the tracking and reporting of key sales analytics, such as, win/loss ratios, new opportunities entered, pipeline and other performance metrics.
  • Support the implementation of new sales tools and processes (e.g., CRM) including training and post-launch support.
